London Stansted Airport

London Stansted Airport is situated at 30 miles north east of the city of London. To get there, you can take junction 8 on the M11 or access it by the M25 which is just under 20 minutes away. Situated within the terminal building, you may find the airport railway station.

Getting to Stansted

By train

Situated below the terminal building is the airport railway station. You may purchase your train tickets directly at the railway station. All the trains are suitable and have facilities for passengers with special needs and are air conditioned. The Stansted Express runs approximately every 15 minutes from 8am to 5pm on weekdays. During the early mornings, evenings and weekends, the Stansted Express runs every 30 minutes. To Liverpool Street Station, the journey will take just 41 minutes. You may also access TottenHam Hale with this service, which links with London's Underground. Every day from London Stansted, the first train service starts at 6am and the final train leaves at 11.59pm. From Liverpool Street the services start at 5am and end at 11pm. London stopping service An hourly local service calls at all principal stations between London Stansted Airport and Liverpool Street Station, stopping at: Stansted Mountfitchet, Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow Mill, Harlow Town, Roydon, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Enfield Lock, Brimsdown, Ponders End, Tottenham Hale and Hackney Downs. Central Trains - Midlands and the North This service connects London Stansted with Audley End, Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Leicester and Birmingham. It is possible to connect at Peterborough to Leeds, York, Newcastle and Scotland; and at Leicester for Derby and Sheffield. This service operates seven days a week with the first weekday train departing London Stansted at 0619 Monday to Saturday and 0915 on Sundays. The last train to Cambridge will depart London Stansted 2115 Monday to Saturday and 2240 on Sundays.

Spaces for bicycles must be reserved in advance.

By Bus or Coach

Located in front of the terminal forecourt, there is a coach station. From 8am to 8pm, you may purchase tickets at the 'Coach Ticket Desk' situated in the arrivals area. Tickets can also be purchased directly on the coach.

Arriva 133 Operates every 2 hours to Dunmow, Felstead and Braintree. First bus 05:05 from Braintree. Last bus 00:20 from Stansted Airport (Monday - Saturday) .

First - Coachlink - Colchester to Stansted Airport Serving Braintree rail station, Braintree Freeport, Marks Tey rail station, Colchester North station, Colchester bus station and University of Essex. Service runs seven days a week. First bus from Colchester 04:50, last bus from Stansted Airport 22:20. Provides a great link to Ipswich and Norwich rail stations.

First Eastern National - X40 Links London Stansted to Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Saffron Walden and Stansted Mountfitchet every 2 hours.

First Eastern National - Service 33 Operating hourly (Monday to Saturday) to Bishop's Stortford, Takeley, Dunmow and Chelmsford. First bus 04:35 from Chelmsford. Last bus 21:27 from Stansted Airport.
